Helpful Information

● Parking

○ There is ample parking for 2-3 cars in front of the house, 2 cars in front of the large garage, and 1-2 cars in front of the small garage. Please do not park along the road.

● Garbage & Recycling

○ Garbage cans are available by the potting bench behind the house. Please empty all cans and place bagged trash in the outdoor can labeled trash. Recyclables do not need to be bagged but they do need to be clean. They go unbagged in the can labeled “Recycling”. Please have all garbage to outdoor cans prior to leaving. See chart in Welcome Book for recycling info.

● Goodyear Lake Access

○ Silliman cove is a short 5 minute walk away. Silliman Cove is public access to Goodyear Lake, you can swim, fish or launch a car-top boat (kayak) there.

○ Picnic tables and fire pits can be found at the point along a nice walking trail.

● Fire pit

○ Use is at your own risk. It works similarly as a gas grill.

● First Aid kit

○ Located in the bathroom medicine cabinet.

● Kitchen

○ The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a meal.

○ A crock pot has been provided to help simplify meals. Please be sure to place it on the counter so nothing is touching it and do not carry it by the lid. Also, DO NOT LATCH THE LID DURING COOKING.

● Outside

○ We are in the country, there are bugs and wildlife. Do not approach, tease, or provoke wildlife and be respectful that this area is their home. Mosquito/tick repellent is always advisable when outdoors. Dollar General is just a minute away for such needs.

○ On Route 7 West toward Oneonta: Dollar General (miscellaneous) 1 mile away, Price Chopper (groceries) 4 miles, Walgreens (drug store) 4 miles
